Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Distribution Center Team Leader for the 3rd shift (12am-8am) on-site. The role involves loading/unloading, stacking, inventory support, and maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a distribution setting, leadership experience, and proficiency with JDA WMS and Exacta. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with JDA Warehouse Management System and Exacta, or similar WMS platforms.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods as required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and pallets.
• Stack, organize, and wrap pallets for storage or shipment using shrink wrap and other materials.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
• Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
