Job summary

Floor & Decor in Gainesville, FL seeks an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct store warehouse operations. You will supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, and manage the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.

The role requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting, strong people skills, and the ability to coordinate with other departments while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years supervisory experience in warehouse or distribution
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with and maintain effective relationships with other departments
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills; Windows-based systems experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, inventory, maintenance)
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
• Maintain warehouse equipment and arrange repairs; ensure safe, efficient operations
• Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA/local regulations
• Ensure staff follow SOPs and handle disciplinary processes
• Resolve employee inquiries and problems; coordinate with other departments
• Complete activity reports and monitor documentation flow from Receiving to Inventory Control
• Investigate discrepancies in shipping, invoices, and receiver reports
• Oversee Storage Buy Audit COP and product counting/inspection
• Ensure proper inventory rotation and space optimization
• Perform other duties as directed by management
