Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Indianapolis Presort facility. You will lead production staff, organize mail flow, and ensure deadlines are met while supporting postal compliance and quality standards.

The position requires 1+ year supervisory experience, 2+ years in production or mailing, strong Excel/Access skills, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential weekend variation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in any area with USPS familiarity (presort, mailroom, related industries).
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access; basic MS Word, internet, and email skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes to meet deadlines.
• Oversee production workers on the designated shift; interview, hire, train, appraise, reward and discipline as per policy.
• Ensure quality throughout the production area and adhere to Total Quality Management (TQM) processes.
• Assist in USPS and internal reporting; communicate clearly across shifts.
• Suggest improvements to equipment use, working conditions and employee motivation.
• Other duties as assigned.
