Job summary

Johnson Matthey Plc seeks a Warehouse Shift Lead to supervise a night shift team at our Devon, PA site, aligning with JM’s supply and logistics standards. This role drives safe operation, stock accuracy and timely material movement to meet service targets.

You will manage attendance, performance and training, lead 5S and Kaizen initiatives, and collaborate across locations to continuously improve warehouse processes while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience with union experience preferred.
• Experience in receiving, inventory control and domestic traffic control.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial warehouse environment.
• Experience with automated inventory control including issuing/receiving of materials, scanning, BOM changes and stock-takes

Responsibilities

• Lead shift team to ensure warehouse activities (receipt, movement, storage, dispatch) are safe and compliant.
• Oversee training of new workers on procedures and standards.
• Organize warehouse security for safe receipt, movement, storage and distribution of goods.
• Maintain stock accuracy and control; oversee stock takes and movements according to procedures.
• Ensure quality inspection and movement of products across locations to meet supply schedules.
• Manage staff processes: attendance, performance, overtime and holidays.
• Drive adherence to 5S and lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Undertake incident investigations with root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.
