Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Rancho Cordova, CA to install, deploy, and maintain warehouse automation technologies.

You will work with operations, solution design, continuous improvement, and IT to support deployment and ongoing optimization of automation systems. The role requires troubleshooting across network, database, and application layers, plus training others and driving improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• H.S. Diploma/GED.
• 2+ years in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, or warehouse systems integration.
• Experience in warehouse automation including sortation conveyors, goods-to-person, autonomous vehicles/robots, ASRS.
• Experience in a warehouse environment working with WMS.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and automation types.
• Industrial or Mechanical Engineering background or equivalent warehouse operational knowledge.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, data analytics, Lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support interfaces of WMS and automation systems.
• Coordinate maintenance events with vendors and WMS team.
• Lead root-cause analysis for automation downtime and report to site leadership.
• Own automation training for hardware and software use across shifts.
• Update SOPs reflecting new strategies and system updates.
• Provide training to new hires and track completion.
