Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for the night shift to learn extrusion operations and produce vinyl siding products. Entry-level training position with opportunities to advance to Machine Operator 2, ensuring quality and adherence to product specs.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and accurate paperwork, with a base pay of $19.50/hour plus a $1 shift differential for night shifts and a 7pm–7am schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate/GED.
• Experience: Six months of related or production experience.
• Knowledge: Read, write and working knowledge of machine mechanics; good mechanical and math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Verify equipment status per start-up check list.
• Maintain extruder settings to meet product specs.
• Perform QA tests on finished product for quality.
• Notify Supervisory personnel of deviations for correction.
• Assist with troubleshooting and machine changeovers.
• Conduct line/panel checks for product consistency.
• Complete extrusion and QA paperwork accurately.
• Record time and observe safety practices.
