Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring an Entry-Level Machine Operator 1 for our Jasper, TN facility. This training position will teach extrusion line operation to produce vinyl siding and related products, with a focus on quality and safety. Night shift is 7pm–7am, on a 2-2-3 schedule, offering a $1 per hour night differential.

Base pay starts at $19.50/hour, with capacity to advance to Operator 2 as skills grow. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k), and more after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience: Six months of related or production experience.
• Knowledge: Read, write; working knowledge of machine mechanics.
• Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Must be able to lift up to 86 pounds and operate tools.
• Must be able to learn to operate a computer and use calipers/micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate extrusion lines to produce vinyl siding and accessories.
• Verify equipment status and follow startup checklists.
• Maintain line equipment settings to specs.
• Perform quality assurance tests on finished product.
• Communicate machine issues to supervision and maintenance.
• Assist with line changeovers and product inspections.
