Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. in Dallas, TX is hiring a Veterinary Medical Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, and biopsy samples using automated analyzers and microscopes.

You’ll read and release results according to SOPs and may specialize in a department as part of a collaborative team. The role requires a high school diploma (science degree preferred) and a willingness to work a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A 2-, 3- or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
• Experience in a 3rd shift/overnight position is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other lab tools to perform analyses that support diagnosing animal illnesses.
• Set up and run lab tests, then read and release results per SOPs.
• Specialize in an assigned department and work with the team to ensure accurate results.
