Job summary

IDEXX in Portland, OR is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform diagnostic testing that supports veterinarians in diagnosing and treating pets. You will operate automated analyzers, microscopes, and other lab equipment, read results, and ensure accuracy according to SOPs, with shift-based scheduling and strong teamwork.

The role requires MLS/CLS/MT/MLT training with ASCP or equivalent certification preferred, across hematology, chemistry, microbiology,

Qualifications

• Must have formal MLS/CLS/MT/MLT training and applicable degree.
• Certification such as ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in high-volume diagnostic environments required.
• Proficiency in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology/serology, urinalysis, or cytology.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses and tests using automated analyzers, microscopes, and lab tools.
• Set up, run, read, and release lab results per SOPs.
• Specialize in assigned department and collaborate with team.
• Maintain CLIA/CAP/OSHA standards and ensure quality control.
