Job summary

IDEXX Laboratory in Louisville, KY is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform analyses using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other lab tools to diagnose animal illnesses. The role requires a High School diploma (science degree preferred) and offers extensive on-site training, day-one benefits, and a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth.

The schedule runs 1:30 a.m.–10:00 a.m., Tue–Sat, with slight variation by business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; science degree preferred.
• Veterinary/Medical lab experience is a plus.
• Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests and operating lab equipment.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes, and other lab tools to perform analyses and tests.
• Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or biopsy samples.
• Set up and run lab tests, read and release results per SOPs.
