Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Unit Secretary/Patient Care Assistant for night shift to provide direct patient care and essential unit support. You will work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and help maintain a safe, clean environment while assisting physicians, patients, families and staff.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and prior acute patient care experience or completion of the IU Health PCA education program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required or to be completed.
• Prior acute patient care experience or completion of IU Health PCA education program.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of a Clinical Nurse and supports the patient care team.
• May schedule tests and procedures and maintain patient records.
• Sign patients in and out of the unit and assist with equipment and supplies.
