Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. in Batavia, OH seeks an Underground Belt Line Utility Person to support daily underground mining operations, focusing on conveyor belt systems, cleanup, and material handling. You will work with production and maintenance crews to keep belt line operations safe and efficient.

The role requires the ability to work underground in challenging environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and be prepared for night shifts. Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work underground in confined, dusty, wet, hot, or low-light environments.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable around conveyor systems and mobile equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to perform demanding tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleanup along belt lines and remove debris.
• Assist with belt startup, shutdown, inspections, and day-to-day operations.
• Help with belt repairs, including rollers, skirts, scrapers, and guards.
• Assist with belt extensions, moves, and structure installations.
• Monitor belts for misalignment or damage and report issues.
• Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling and housekeeping.
• Support maintenance crews with mechanical, electrical, or structural tasks.
