Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. The position requires RRT certification, 2+ years of adult ICU and ventilator experience, and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway procedures, and care across adult ICU, ED, and other high-acuity settings. Travel experience and EPIC charting proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of adult acute care ICU experience.
• RRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification preferred.
• State license required if applicable.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Adult acute care ICU and ventilator experience required.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide ventilator management and ABG interpretation.
• Deliver airway management and respiratory care.
• Care for adult ICU, ED, NICU, and pediatric patients as applicable.
• Perform bedside bronchoscopy and chest physiotherapy as needed.
• Ensure safe operation of respiratory equipment and infection control practices.
