Qualifications

• Previous railroad or industrial switching experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
• Ability to operate a range of vehicles and machinery in a safe and responsible manner.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Train Crew Members during the night shift to ensure safe operations.
• Operate switches and brakes to move trains between tracks safely.
• Build trains by coupling/uncoupling freight cars and inspecting for compliance.
• Ensure PPE use and safety conditions before starting work.
• Maintain facility and equipment to RJ Corman standards.
• Foster good customer relations and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
