Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in the Thoracic Surgery Stepdown unit. You will work the night shift (7:00pm-7:30am) providing patient care under RN supervision, performing vital signs, ADLs, and assisting in transfers, with exposure to thoracic surgical patients and complex monitoring equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; military medical experience is considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
• Nursing students: BLS certification required or to be obtained during hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, weight, activities of daily living, transfers, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes and monitoring devices.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
