Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, OH as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant on the Stepdown unit. You will work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating weekends and holidays, delivering patient care under the supervision of an RN using state-of-the-art technology.

The role provides an opportunity to gain acute care experience in a Cardinal cardiology-focused unit with room for education advancement and skill development through Cleveland Clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period)
• Nursing students: BLS certification prior to hire.
• Nursing students who have recently completed a minimum of one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience.
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
