Job summary

RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minnesota, is seeking an extrusion operator for the 33rd shift (11pm–7am) with training on day shift. Responsible for setting up and running thermoplastic extrusion equipment, weighing ingredients, monitoring quality, and maintaining safety and data records.

Candidate must pass forklift and respirator tests and be able to work overtime on weekends. We offer an hourly rate of $27.35 with potential overtime, in a manufacturing environment that values

Qualifications

• Must read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Must lift up to 60 lbs regularly and stand 8 hours.
• Willing to work overtime, including every other weekend.
• Able to pass forklift and respirator tests.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and operate extrusion machinery per procedures.
• Weigh ingredients and ensure continuous material strands.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Transfer samples to the lab for evaluation and adjust batches as needed.
• Package finished materials and maintain data logs.
• Document work and maintain system inputs/transactions.
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Material handling and other duties as assigned.
