Job summary

RTP Company in Winona, MN, seeks a material handler/operator to set up and run thermoplastic extrusion equipment for blending, mixing, packaging and transporting materials. The role emphasizes safety, ISO standards and data entry while monitoring processes and adjusting as needed.

The 2nd shift (3-11pm) with overtime and possible weekend work requires lifting up to 60 lbs, following safety procedures, and a willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities; prior manufacturing

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
Forklift experience preferred.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up, start, and operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, or handle materials according to procedures and safety standards.
Weigh ingredients and ensure correct delivery to work area; insert pre-blended materials into machinery.
Monitor production and equipment for safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
Examine material conformance to standards; transfer samples to lab for evaluation.
Package finished materials into containers/bags; maintain data entries and logs.
Refer issues to Production Lead or Production Managers for disposition.
Perform machine cleaning and maintain a clean workstation.
Document work completed and participate in training and continuous improvement.
