Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years.
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using age-appropriate nursing process and document findings.
• Develop and update care plans with input from interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning as needed.
• Communicate patient status and care plan with physicians and team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per standards of care.
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately and timely.
