Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Neuro Telemetry to join our full-time days team. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care for acutely ill adults, coordinate with physicians and staff, and apply evidence-based practice in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with solid analytic abilities. ADN may be acceptable with commitment to BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, and develops an individualized plan of care.
• Directs care and coordinates any assistants involved in providing direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents the plan with clear communication.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record.
• Uses best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
