Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Team Lead for our fiber optic cable plant operating 24/7 on rotating 12-hour shifts. The role enforces safety and quality standards and drives production goals, with staff reallocation as needed and end-of-shift turnover briefings.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma (AS degree preferred) and have 2+ years of progressive management in manufacturing, preferably in optical fiber cabling. Strong communication, calm under pressure, and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of progressive management experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience in optical fiber cabling industry preferred.
• Must be quality- and customer-focused, versatile and able to interact with customers and visitors.
• Motivated team player with collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrate administrative aptitude, time management and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of remaining calm and professional under stress.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production objectives and make quality decisions on shift.
• Execute shift operations plan by process area and production priorities.
• Re-assign staffing resources based on current requirements.
• Manage MRR queue.
• Track, evaluate and develop operator performance.
• Prepare and deliver end-of-shift turnover meetings.
• Ensure all product meets requirements per the Plant's Quality Management Systems.
• Comply with safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
• Conduct month-end inventory counts as needed.
• Serve on site spill team and act as plant evacuation team leader and first responder.
