Job summary

Prysmian Group seeks a Shift Leader for the night shift at the Claremont, NC facility. You will oversee a 12-hour rotation, ensure safety, drive production priorities, and lead end-of-shift turnovers while maintaining quality standards in a fiber optic cable plant.

You will manage staffing, evaluate operator performance, and coordinate with teams to meet production goals in a 24/7 environment. Strong communication and calm judgment under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• AS Degree is preferred.
• At least two years of progressive management experience is required.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Experience in optical fiber cabling industry is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production objectives and make quality decisions on shift.
• Execute shift operations plan by process area, focusing on ware movement and production priorities.
• Re-assign staffing resources based on current requirements.
• Manage MRR queue.
• Track, evaluate, and develop operator performance.
• Prepare and deliver end of shift turnover meetings.
• Ensure all product meets quality requirements per the Plant’s QMS.
• Comply with safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
• Participate in the site spill team and plant evacuation leadership.
• Serve as a first responder when needed.

The team lead keeps safety and quality standards and ensures that production goals are met with work being performed in compliance with company policy and regulations. **Team Overview and Job Responsibilities**· Deliver production objectives and make quality decisions on shift.· Execute shift operations plan by process area, focusing on ware movement and production priorities.· Re-assign staffing resources based on current requirements or changes.· Manage MRR queue.· Track, evaluate, and develop individual operator performance.· Prepare and deliver end of shift turnover meetings.· Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems· Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines· Conduct month end inventory counts as needed.· Serve on the site spill team, as leader of the plant evacuation team, and as a first responder.· Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems**Who are we looking for?**· HS Diploma or equivalent – required.
