Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team by anticipating the surgeon's needs, assembling supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique. You will monitor aseptic practices, assist with room turnover, and ensure patient safety while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in aseptic/sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Knowledge of commonly used surgical instruments and supplies.
• Ability to read and follow surgeon instructions and room protocols.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and communicates with the circulating nurse.
• Maintains high standards for cost containment and quality.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications before procedures.
• Supports satisfaction initiatives and maintains relations with staff and physicians.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects any deviations.
