UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for an onsite Night shift at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. The role facilitates safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures and requires registration and hands-on sterile technique.

The position offers full-time hours, a shift-based compensation structure, and a pay range of $27.61–$41.41 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
• 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipmentand supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passesinstruments to physician during surgery. Continuallyaccounts for number andlocationof instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Education

High School diploma or GED

6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
