Job summary

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO seeks a Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist for night shifts on a full-time basis. You will select and arrange surgical instruments, scrub in, and assist during procedures in a busy Labor & Delivery unit.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS; graduation from a certified surgical technology program is preferred. Weekend rotations apply; compensation includes shift differentials and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current BLS certification.
• Registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable.
• Preference for graduate of a certified surgical technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures, pulls instruments and supplies, ensures instrument readiness.
• Anticipates surgeon needs, passes instruments, retracts tissue and operates equipment.
• Maintains aseptic technique and disposes of sharps and waste according to protocol.
• Counts sharps, instruments and sponges; ensures accurate surgeon preference cards.
• Assists with OR turnover between cases and maintains supply levels.
• May provide business support to the department including administrative tasks.
