Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO seeks a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant for a full-time night-shift role. You will support the operating room team, manage instruments, and uphold patient safety during procedures.

Position offers a $44.00 hourly pay plus travel package/stipend and 13-week assignments; local traveler options available for candidates within 75 miles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Military Trained.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (through DORA).
• 1 year experience in surgical environment.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; card in-hand before start date; valid through hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures equipment works and assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
