Job summary

Berger Health System is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a night shift role (36 hours/week) with a sign-on bonus. The position supports the operating room team, prepares sterile setups, and assists the surgeon throughout procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterility, assisting with draping, positioning, specimen handling, and post-procedure cleanup. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Basic critical thinking skills as part of clinical team.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and communicate with staff.
• Independently scrub complex cases and adapt to changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining supplies and instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Acts as 2nd assistant to surgeon; assists with draping and exposure.
• Manages positioning, specimen handling, and post-procedure room turnover.
