Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Labor and Delivery team on a full-time night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. The role requires maintaining a sterile field, assisting with surgeries, and ensuring patient safety throughout the day.

Qualifications include an Associates degree or equivalent experience, BLS, and CST/TS-C certification. Experience in surgical technology and knowledge of open heart procedures are pluses.

Qualifications

• Precision, attention to detail and teamwork are essential in providing quality patient care.
• Must have strong sterile technique and instrument handling skills during operative procedures.
• Excellent communication and ability to anticipate needs of the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and case progression to prepare accordingly.
• Dispose of specimens and instruments properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
