Job summary

Apache Workforce is seeking an experienced Structural Fitter for a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This role involves fitting, aligning, cutting, and preparing structural components for welding and assembly, reading fabrication drawings, and using measuring and layout tools.

Candidates should be comfortable with hand and power tools, follow established safety procedures, and communicate effectively with welders, supervisors, and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural fitting, fabrication, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with structural shapes, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Basic welding and tack-welding knowledge.
• Ability to use measuring, layout, and hand tools.
• Experience with cutting, grinding, and beveling materials.
• Ability to safely operate torches and related equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure and lay out materials according to project specifications.
• Prepare materials and joints for welding and fabrication.
• Cut, fit, align, and tack structural components.
• Check dimensions, fit-up, and alignment using appropriate measuring tools.
• Prepare materials for welding, including grinding and beveling as needed.
• Operate cutting equipment and torches safely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as required.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Communicate with welders, supervisors, inspectors, and other team members.
• Maintain an organized work area and follow applicable safety procedures.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
