Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Fitter in Houston, TX to join an industrial setting building large custom machinery. The role requires 5+ years of structural fit-up experience and the ability to read blueprints and measure accurately.

Responsibilities include fitting/assembling components, welding (Flux Core), and operating fabrication tools and cranes. HS Diploma or GED is required, with preemployment screening. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural fit-up experience in heavy fabrication or oilfield backgrounds.
• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills with ability to measure accurately.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Measure, cut, and align metal components to prepare them for welding.
• Fit and assemble structural steel, pipe, or metal components according to specifications.
• Perform Flux Core welding on carbon steel.
• Experienced in 3G, SubArc, & 4G (overhead) welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and structural standards.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and cutting tools.
• Operate cranes and forklifts.
