Responsibilities

• Disassembles, cleans, inspects, prepares, assembles, sterilizes and dispenses surgical and procedure instrumentation and trays for the Operating Room, Delivery Room, nursing units, and other departments.
• Assists in providing sterile supply inventory to customer departments and maintains communication regarding requests and delivery.
• Decontaminates, prepares, processes, and sterilizes instrumentation, trays and sets following infection control guidelines.
• Operates washers, ultrasonic equipment, and sterilizers (steam, plasma) in SPD.
• Dispenses and delivers sterilized instruments and trays to customer units and stores supplies.
• Audits supplies and inventory levels and notifies leadership when levels are low.
