Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor for the Nights shift. The role requires CRCST/CHL/EPR certification eligibility, four years of related work experience, and at least one year in supervision. A signing bonus of $3,000 is offered where eligible.

The supervisor will oversee Central Sterile Supply operations, ensure compliance with Joint Commission and Department of Health, and manage inventory, staffing, and instrument readiness in ORs, clinics, and EDs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years related work experience; at least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Certification: HSPA or CBSPD required, CIS/CER and CHL or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Central Sterile Supply operations and personnel.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and Department of Health.
• Maintains instrument inventory and asset records; ensures proper decontamination and sterilization.
• Provides staff training and in-service on new products and procedures.
• Coordinates with OR, clinic and ED staff to meet instrument needs and schedules.
• Oversees department budget and implements performance improvement initiatives.
