Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Stationary Engineer III to operate and maintain the hospital's HVAC systems, ensuring safety and comfort for patients and staff. You will manage boilers, chillers, and building automation, document work, and respond to alarms with minimal supervision.

The role requires licensure, advanced technical training, and several years of experience in a hospital or large facility setting. Full-time, 3rd shift, Chicago area locations are included.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of codes/regulations pertaining to assigned equipment and operations.
• Advanced computer skills (CMMS, building automation, Microsoft Office).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates all campus HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, towers, fans and pumps to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Maintains records and reports on equipment startup, failures, and maintenance using CMMS.
• Responds to alarms and uses BAS to monitor and control equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC and other facility systems per procedures.
