Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Stationary Engineer III for the Christ Medical Center - Facilities in Oak Lawn, IL. This full-time, 3rd shift role involves operating and maintaining campus HVAC systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and patient comfort.

Extensive CMMS/BAS experience and a strong mechanical background are required. The position requires 4+ years of stationary engineering experience, union-friendly credentials, and advanced technical training.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of technical training.
• 4+ years of stationary engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of codes/regulations pertaining to equipment and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HVAC equipment per SOPs to optimize safety and occupant comfort.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records on startup, failures, and repairs.
• Use BAS to monitor and control HVAC equipment and respond to alarms.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and related systems.
• Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and perform repairs with minimal disruption.
• Read blueprints/maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
• Assist with small projects and serve as a peer resource.
