Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH is seeking a registered nurse for the night shift in the 5th Med/Surg unit at FMC Main Campus. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, provide education to patients and families, and document thoroughly.

The candidate must have an accredited nursing program and Ohio license, CPR certification, and prior nursing experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program with the listed degree paths.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide quality nursing care based on a family-centered approach.
• Educate patient and family from admission through discharge.
• Document the nursing process accurately and legibly.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to ensure smooth transition of care.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely.
• Ensure FMC policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are ready for patient care; report malfunctions.
