Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to meet physiological, psychosocial and emotional needs of residents.
• Performs assessments in multiple care settings (initial intake, sick calls, emergency situations).
• Collaborates with health care and security staff in a correctional environment.
• Identifies patient goals and implements nursing interventions per policy.
• Plans care based on assessments and initiates referrals as needed.
• As team leader or charge nurse, delegates duties and guides others.
