Job summary

Antech Diagnostics is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our veterinary laboratory team in Chicago. The role receives, prepares, and processes samples, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to SOPs.

This temporary position offers a night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) with alternating Saturdays and may convert to a full-time role. The target pay is $20.25 per hour, with compensation determined by skills, experience, and budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with science related classes.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in English enabling participation in team meetings and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares samples for laboratory analyses.
• Accurately process standard requisitions per approved procedures at expected rates.
• Accession various sample types for processing.
• Ensure Turn Around Times (TAT’s) are met.
• Follow SOPs and maintain a clean, organized work area; restock supplies as needed.
• Assist other lab personnel with specimen storage.
