Job summary

Antech Diagnostics in Oak Brook, IL is seeking a Temp Specimen Processor to support the laboratory workflow on a night shift schedule. You will receive, prepare, and process diverse samples, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to SOPs to maintain timely turnarounds.

This temporary position may convert to full-time permanent, offering a starting pay of $20.25 per hour and benefits eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; science classes preferred.
• 0-1 year related lab or specimen processing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares samples for laboratory analyses.
• Accurately process standard requisitions per approved procedures at expected rates.
• Removes specimens from transport bags, enter patient data, label samples.
• Scan tubes into storage racks and enter specimen data into database.
• Accession various sample types for processing.
• Ensure Turn Around Times (TATs) are met.
• Follow SOPs and maintain clean, organized work area.
