Job summary

Labcorp in Tampa, FL is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team. This full-time role supports our laboratory workflow with a Monday–Friday schedule: 8:00pm–4:30am, with rotating weekends.

You will prepare specimens, route and label samples, and ensure accurate data entry to support timely patient results. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates have 3+ months of specimen processing and medical or laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ months of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3+ months of medical or laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
