Job summary

Labcorp in Orlando, FL is hiring a Specimen Processor I to join our team. The role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, unpacking and routing them to staging areas, and accurately labeling and tracking samples.

You will also pack and ship specimens and ensure timely data entry of patient information. The position supports a fast-paced lab environment with a 7:30 PM–1:00 AM schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
