Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team. You will prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, unpack and route specimens, and accurately identify and label samples.

The role supports production goals in a fast-paced environment, with a Monday-Friday overnight schedule from 11:00pm to 7:30am. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and prior specimen processing or laboratory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
