Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Tucker, GA is seeking a Specimen Processing Group Lead to supervise 8–12 technicians on a night shift. You will coordinate scheduling, assist in performance reviews, and ensure compliant production and workflow.

The role emphasizes leadership, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration in a busy laboratory setting. The position offers Monday to Friday hours from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM with base pay around $20.35+ per hour plus potential shift differentials

Qualifications

• Required Work Experience: Internal candidates minimum of one year in SPT III/related role
• Preferred Work Experience: 3 years in a lab environment with Specimen Processing preferred; medical background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of all job duties in Specimen Processing.
• Exercises strong troubleshooting and problem resolution; collaborates with technical departments.
• Assists SPTs in test selection and problem resolution; answers questions from staff and lab personnel.
• Provides supervisor with feedback on problems and performance.
• Completes shift paperwork and ensures staff cleanup and readiness for production.
