Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Texas is seeking a NIGHT SHIFT Aggregate Plant SKID STEER Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy equipment and support production across the plant. You will work with the Plant, Maintenance, and Management Teams to minimize downtime and optimize output.

The ideal candidate has experience in quarrying and aggregate equipment, plus a strong commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of qualified experience including heavy equipment operation and aggregate industry knowledge.
• Understanding of diagnostics, maintenance, and operation of aggregate quarry equipment
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to work outdoors in various conditions and stand for extended periods
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset
• Must be positive, friendly, and professional
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety policy, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as a loader, backhoe, excavator, skid steer, haul truck and dozer.
• Assist with equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with management and maintenance technicians to address production issues.
• Ensure the work area is neat and equipment stored securely at end of shift.
• Support company efforts to achieve client loyalty.
• Other duties as assigned.
