Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Waco, TX is seeking a Plant Operator for the night shift to keep the plant running safely and efficiently in a MSHA-regulated environment. You will work with a team to maintain equipment, perform routine inspections, and support preventive maintenance to ensure continuous production of natural aggregates.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on mechanical work, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Welding knowledge.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment.
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on the plant to keep the plant running.
• Monitor and assist in routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe production.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to use hand tools.
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift on equipment and workplace inspections.
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators.
• Welding knowledge.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
