Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington seeks a Program Supervisor for the Hypothermia shelters. You will coordinate staff coverage and ensure services meet best practice standards, contract requirements, and agency procedures while keeping facilities stocked with supplies.

You will supervise up to 25 seasonal on-call employees, recruit and evaluate staff, manage overtime, oversee intake, provide crisis intervention as needed, and maintain a safe, hospitable shelter environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years direct service experience with adult homeless or other adult vulnerable populations.
• 2 years' administrative supervisory experience.
• Valid local driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Shelter Monitors and administrative staff.
• Recruits, hires, conducts performance evaluations, and provides staff development.
• Develops and implements processes to minimize overtime and efficiently schedule staff.
• Manages timely time-sheet reviews and approvals; monitors clocking procedures and shift coverage.
• Ensures intake is completed accurately and promptly; provides crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintains facility safety, cleanliness, and security; addresses staff concerns promptly.
