Job summary

You will help maintain safety, support daily living skills, provide crisis intervention, and handle data collection and reporting; the position requires a high school diploma, with preferred bachelor’s degree in social work and direct service experience.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Preble Street mission and harm reduction.
• Understanding and positive regard for individuals experiencing homelessness and/or living in poverty.
• Understanding of low-barrier services and related challenges.
• Understanding of mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
• Ability to establish and maintain boundaries within diverse populations.
• Effective crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of Hope House residents during shifts.
• Provide crisis intervention and daily living skills support.
• Lead skills-building activities and provide coverage as needed.
• Document information and report data per program requirements.
• Collaborate with the Hope House team to achieve program outcomes.
