Job summary

Preble Street's Hope House in Bangor, ME seeks an entry-level Shelter Navigator. You will help keep residents safe, support daily living skills, and respond to crises within a trauma-informed environment.

The role involves documenting information, reporting outcomes, and collaborating with the Hope House team to advance program goals while upholding the agency mission and harm-reduction principles. Part-time schedule: Friday and Saturday, 6:00am-2:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Experience in direct service provision to people experiencing homelessness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of Hope House residents and provide daily living skills support.
• Lead crisis intervention and provide shift coverage as needed.
• Document, report and manage information per agency requirements.
• Collaborate with Hope House team to achieve program goals and mission.
