Job summary

VOALA is seeking a Monitor I to help ensure the security and safety of shelter premises and program clients in Woodland, CA. The role involves monitoring entrances, screening bags, patrolling facilities, and assisting with client support activities on-site.

Responsibilities

• SHELTER ENTRANCE MONITORING: monitor and authorize entrance and departure of participants, employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• BAG & PERSON SCREENING: search participants’ person and belongings to ensure safety and security.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• SHELTER SAFETY: observe for safe operations, report spills or unsafe conditions, assist in emergencies.
• CLIENT/PARTICIPANT SUPPORT: answer phones, greet visitors, assist staff and participants, monitor and record client activities.
• DRIVING TASKS (for licensed Monitors): transport participants to locations, assist with mobility devices, maintain trip records and vehicle condition.
• Complete written reports and incidents logs; act as a role model for participants.
