JOURNEYS | The Road Home in Palatine, IL is seeking an Overnight Shelter Staff Member for a part-time, overnight position. The role runs 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, totaling 24–32 hours per week with some flexibility for occasional meetings and events, including at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the nightly shelter activities and accurately documenting incidents and observations.
• Professionally assisting clients, volunteers, and visitors with questions or concerns.
• Ensuring compliance with all policies, local regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Quickly responding to emergencies when needed.
• Performing additional duties as needed by the program, such as laundry.
