WINGS Program, Inc. in Palatine, IL is seeking an Awake Overnight House Advocate to maintain the Safe House and support residents during the night. You will conduct intake and eligibility evaluations, enter guest information, and ensure security and safety throughout the shift.

The role requires staying awake during night hours, handling crisis situations, and coordinating meals, donations, and daily activities. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in social services.
• 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training provided by WINGS if needed.
• CPR and First Aid certification; food handler certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Crisis Line with crisis intervention, counseling, safety planning, and referrals.
• Conduct intake and eligibility evaluations for Safe House services.
• Model positive social skills, conflict resolution, parenting, and daily living skills.
• Supervise house policies and chores; coordinate donations and services.
• Maintain accurate client files, census, and shift reports.
• Assist with meals, donations processing, and building safety checks.
• Attend supervision and training sessions; report child abuse as required by law.
